PUBLIC NOTICE The U.S. Army established a Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) at Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant (TCAAP) in 1996. The RAB met regularly until 2014 and at that time decided to meet only when there was new activity or information to provide or reports to review. The Army recently contacted TCAAP RAB members to see if they were still interested in participating in meetings and due to member relocation and former members' desire to no longer participate, the Army is now soliciting for new volunteers to serve as RAB members. A RAB is a stakeholder group that meets on a regular basis to discuss environmental restoration at a specific property that is either currently or was formerly owned by the Department of Defense, but where DoD oversees the environmental restoration process. RABS enable people interested in the environmental cleanup at a specific location to exchange information with representatives of regulatory agencies, Army representatives, and the community. While any citizen can comment on the Army's environmental restoration program, RABS offer a focused and interactive opportunity to participate in the environmental restoration process. RAB members will include representatives from local, state and federal agencies, as well as interested citizens who reflect the diverse interests of the local community. RAB members will be asked to meet regularly to review and comment on technical documents and plans relating to ongoing environmental studies and cleanup activities. Members will be expected to serve as community liaisons. Membership is strictly voluntary, and no financial compensation will be provided. Interested citizens should email Kay Toye at kay.toye@envrg. com to request a RAB Community Interest Form. Completed forms can be e-mailed or mailed and will be collected until May 17, 2020. Community members who have completed the forms and indicated their interest in becoming a RAB member will be invited to attend a public meeting to obtain more information about RAB membership and meetings and learn about the TCAAP environmental restoration activities completed and planned for the former TCAAP. If you have questions, please call Cathy Kropp at 443-243-0313. PUBLIC NOTICE The U.S. Army established a Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) at Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant (TCAAP) in 1996.
